MUSIC AT UCHS

Students at Union County High School have many diverse opportunities available to them in the academic area of music. The Pride of the Mountains Marching Band is the most visible and largest music ensemble at UCHS and entertains at football games, parades and marching contests throughout the state. The Symphonic Band performs a wide variety of music at several seasonal concerts each year. The UCHS Chorus performs several concerts each year as well as performing at various civic functions within the community. 

All of the Musical Ensembles at UCHS consistently receive superior" ratings at GMEA sanctioned Festivals and Contests.

UCHS music students have been selected for membership in the GMEA All-State Band & Orchestra and Chorus as well as participating in camps, clinics and honor ensembles across the Southeast.
